Savore Media, LLC is a small, independent food media company in California. We run food publications and build things for the food world, and all of it starts in a kitchen.
What Savore Media is
We’re the company behind Simply Cooking Recipes and Modern Culinarian, and the publisher of a cookbook in progress, The Modern California Pantry.
It’s a small operation on purpose. The person writing a recipe is the person who tested it, and the test happens at a stove, not in a spreadsheet.
How we work
- We cook it first.Every recipe is made in a real kitchen before it’s published. If it doesn’t hold up, it doesn’t go up.
- We label paid work.Sponsored content, affiliate links, and ads get disclosed. None of them decide what we recommend.
- We explain the why.A recipe that tells you why the pan needs to be that hot teaches you something you can use again.
- We keep it plain.No long wind-up before the recipe. Say what matters, then get out of the way.
The founder
Trained in fine dining. Shaped by volume.
Savore Media was founded by a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef with more than 20 years in commercial kitchens.
That time was split between fine dining rooms, where every plate gets looked at, and high-volume kitchens, where a recipe has to come out the same at 7 a.m. and at the end of a double.
Both show up in what we publish. Fine dining taught precision. Volume taught that a recipe is only good if somebody else can repeat it.
